I was crossing the Gulf of Finland from Helsinki to Estonia in the middle of the winter aboard a Viking Ferry. Always a fan of sunsets, I was able to catch the sun as it began its descent while we cruised through the frozen floes.

Thanks! For such a bitterly cold day it was amazingly calm out on the Gulf. The harbor was almost entirely encased in ice.

First off–hilarious that you end up traveling abroad and find yourself taking pics of gorgeous sunsets, on none-other than a ferry LOL but, I’m truly glad you captured this one…like your other reader said, it looks as though you guys are cruising through snow…how neat!!! thanks for sharing, this was almost as delish as Thanksgiving dessert! 🙂

Thanks Becky, I agree. It was my first trip to Finland and it was the middle of the winter, some subzero nights didnt take away from the visual appeal, nor the local hospitality.
