It’s not often that I can snap a good pic right outside my front door. The winter of 2013 brought us “Nemo”. Before the snow stopped falling, I was able to capture the serenity of the snow in front of a beautiful historic brick home.

Cool. Snowy weather gives great chances for neat photography. All that snow we don’t get here in the south!

Awesome pic!!! It was great to see a little snow in the middle of summer plus the historic home was awesome! Our area has so much beauty–especially in the architecture! Many people just drive past and forget to appreciate the buildings, the scenery, etc because it is home and we see it all the time. It is easier to focus on the buildings that are no longer maintained or to find fault in various areas. If this was a new city or country more people would take a moment to stop or slow down on their way by to take in the scenery and beauty, their eyes seeing things in an appreciative way! It is too bad that does not happen more often in our own town(s)! Perhaps this happens all over the world–what becomes common is no longer loved and enjoyed as it would be to a stranger’s eye. Regardless, there is beauty everywhere–especially in historic homes and buildings–they are structures with soul and a story to tell!!! So, awesome photo & thank you so much for sharing!! 🙂
